As a regular visitor to TM Lewin stores, conveniently located wherever I happen to find myself in London, I have felt, with each passing season that this is most definitely a brand on the rise.

The company debuted their AW15 collection recently, further cementing my belief that menswear aficionados need not overlook a brand whose ready to wear tailoring has dominated UK high streets since it’s inception, in London’s Jermyn Street, way back in 1898.

Featuring highlights in abundance, you are literally spoilt for choice. With incredible, almost year- round offers of 4 (or more recently) 5 shirts for £100, it’s no wonder their rivals are struggling to compete.

The press day show space resembled a high end mens emporium, complete with cocktail bar, mens grooming salon and the now customary photobooth. Mannequins styled with razor-sharp sartorial precision impressed: an off white with orange, green and navy check flannel shirt, navy wool tie and moss green blazer ensemble (pictured below) could easily have been an autumnal vision of me – and represented a statement of intent for a few months time when the nights start to draw in.

Attention to detail is evidently an evolving mantra for the brand. Employing reputable mills such as Vitale Barberis Canonico of Biela to produce limited run ties is a smart move. I immediately covet a beautiful off-white and navy hexagonal foulard offering (pictured above), and find myself wistfully wishing the months away until it drops in store. A brace of paisley silk, 60s-channeling numbers (also pictured above and below) have the same effect.

I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to TM Lewin’s London and Limited Edition shirts – released in small batches at the beginning of every season allowing the brand to reflect current trends. Featuring elegant sartorial nuances, such as mélange and chambray cloth, collar bars, curved cutaway collars and elliptical cuffs lead the way. For AW15 there are 24 more new shirt designs to choose from – a beautiful burgundy and charcoal plaid cutaway (pictured above) stood out for me and would stand up well against the milieu of a grey wool suit.
